User Mapping

Hi all,

In my portal configurations, I defined a HTTP connection to an external system which is a webdav server.

I created a WebDAV Repository Manager for this and I am able to access this in KM via a prefix /webdav. Under the HTTP connection settings

(Content Management > Global Services > System Landscape Definitions), I activated the "Same User Domain" option to enable SSO to work between EP and my external system.

Now my problems comes when creating an index. I created a index with a datasource pointing to this /webdav. However, according to SAP Help, a default user index_service is used when creating an index. But index_service user is not created on the webdav server and because authentication is forward to the webdav server (since "Same User Domain" activated), authentication will fail. My question is that if I do a user mapping in UME settings, is it possible to map index_service user to a super user?

I am currently using a reference system which is a separate system from my webdav server. If I perform user mapping, which system should i map index_Service to?

Thanks.
