SRM catalogs

Hello, I have a situation where MDM server is running fine with version 5.5.33.13 and now if I have include the SRM catalogs it has to be version 5.5.36.23.

If SRM version of MDM server has to be installed the installation files donot have the syndicator, which means that I cannot syndicate files from MDM, Is it advised to have SRM MDM server separtely than the usual MDM server

Please advise?
