Basis parameters

Gurus,

My central instance is Windows 2003 32bit/SQL2000/4.7Ent. I am installing an additional app server. on a x64 bit Wins2003 with 16G of ram. Does anyone has rules of thump when configuring Basis parameters? For example, how many dialag to configure, setting for st02, etc... Any suggestions is greatly appreciated and points will be given.

Hi Allen,

No.of Workprocesses depends on RAM Size.plz see the below formula for WP's

No.of Dialog WPs=RAM Size(MB)/250.

No.of Background Wps=RAM Size(MB)/750.
