Hi Experts,

our client has as unique requirement i e , When they do the consignment pick process they required the stock should be moved to blocked stock first. we are implemented the standard consignment process where when we do the Consignment pick through 632 movement type the stock is going into unrestricted stock which we they don't want, they want the stock should go to into blocked stock.

Is is possible in standard config ?? can it be done through movement type control?? Kindly guide me Please .

632 movement type is designed to work only with unrestricted use. You know that SAP has in most cases different movement types dedicated to the stock type, e.g. 653 ,655 and 657 for returns into unrestricted, quality and blocked stock. And sometimes it has just one movement type, e.g. 101 which determines the target stock type based on the entry in the reference document or material master inspection settings.

If you search the forum then you will actually see that this question has been asked about 100 times already and none has a solution. If all of you had approached SAP then it was eventually already in place via a business function.

Hi Jurgen,

Agree with your above advise. so this requirement will not meet with standard SAP settings or controls. can you advise me how to meet this requirement through RICEF development on a high level note.

Your suggestion is highly appreciable.

Hi Anand

My sentence was wrong, the scenario is consignment pick up where as of now the the stock is coming to unrestricted stock while doing the PGR. But we want the stock should go to blocked stock first while doing the PGR in consignment pick up. we are using 632 movement type.

Please advise me

Shane,

Help me understanding why to block stock..?

you said its a process: All i can understand of this process is that you are moving that stock to block stock for reservation for that consignment,

that is only thing that is coming into my mind.

I want your explanation on this if what I am saying is correct..?

If that is correct, we also know what when goods moved to block stock ; it need to be unblocked to move further for that consignment sales order.

Means 2 steps to reserve the material for that customer.. In that case; why don't you just sales order stock, so the stock can be reserved & you can do the delivery directly from there, instead of moving material back & forth from blocked stock to unrestricted stock.

Any stock move to that perticular sales order stock is only available for that sales order & cannot be used for other sales order, until the movement is not reversed.

Thanks

Anand
