I have installed the HANA Express addition using the hxe.tgz and hxexsa.tgz. All services seem to be running
hxeadm 29851 29835 9.7 3421016 1795620 \_ hdbnameserver
hxeadm 29954 29835 6.8 1002000 459496 \_ hdbcompileserver
hxeadm 29956 29835 2.6 1451264 369688 \_ hdbpreprocessor
hxeadm 30001 29835 9.8 3867444 1990664 \_ hdbindexserver -port 39003
hxeadm 30114 29835 2.7 1297748 331264 \_ hdbwebdispatcher
When I open the XS Engine URL (http://saphdb:8090/) it works but when I use "xs" in the teminal window I get this error
If 'xs' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this:
Any idea what I have done wrong and how to fix it?
Think the issue may be memory related as my test machine only has 8gb, will try a new machien with more memory and see if I am more succesful.
Thanks for all the help.

I also see the document refers to
hdbdiserver (if XSA is installed)
I do not see this but do see hdbindexserver -port 39003
Is it possible the "service" did not start.

But that is not stated as such in the Getting Started Guide
2.2
Test XSC and XSA (Applications Package Only)
If you installed the Applications package (hxexsa.tgz), test your XS installations.
Procedure
1. Check that the XSEngine is running. Open a browser and enter:
http://<hostname>:80<instance-number>;
A success page displays:
2. As the <sid>adm user, log in to XSA services:
xs login -u xsa_admin -p "<password>"
3. View the list of XSA applications. Enter xs apps.

The xs client tool (you are trying to use) is not installed with hxexsa.tgz. You have to download the client tool package with the HXE downloader and install the xs client tools on your machine.

Florian
