Hi,
I have my SAP system on AIX5.3, ECC5, Oracle 92050.
Are there any side effects of having DB stats run on all tables except for those mentioned in DBSTATC with activity type marked as N or R.
Some of the tables in my database are not analyzed to date. These tables are big enough and should have been analyzed. Any specific conditions from SAP on this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Vinod,
Thank you for the advice. Hopefully, my queries are answered unless my manager again comes back with some more confusing queries...
cheers

Have a look on Internal Rules for Update Statistics at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/70/87e93ac678601be10000000a11402f/frameset.htm.
Have a look on 351163 you can use DBMS_STATS,
To keep statistics up-to-date, SAP recommends that you schedule brconnect ... -f stats -t all at least once a week.
Note 588668 answers to your every questions related to STATS.

Hi Vinod,
I have the DB STATS scheduled to be run everyday. But still there are some tables for which the stats are not generated.
Now, I plan to run the stats on all the tables once, but wanted to check if there are any specific restrictions from SAP.
I already referred the mentioned URL and SAPNotes prior to logging the query in the fourms, but still that does not give me a clear reply.
Any further help?
cheers
Chander
