Hello. Guru

When we creating Bom what is use of BOM Usage &alterative BOM, &BOM application

after the creation of BOM when we will Explode it what is that t. code

after the creation BOM it will give u no, only wayto see bom no in CS03, or any thing else

how we r going to see report on BOM with Plant basic(i want to enter only BOM NO) is possible

Bom Usage:

In a comapany there are many depts. Each dept can have its Own Bom

or we can have only one Bom.

When we define Bom Usage we define configuration of the item status .

Item status controls which other application areas can use this Bom

The item status is made up of no of indicators such as item relavant to

production. item relavant to engg, item relavant to sales , item relavant to costing.

Ex Production Dept needs all the item that are relavant to production.

Costing dept needs all the item that are relavant to costing.

Alternative Bom : ( Multiple Bom)

Multiple Bom group together sevaral Boms that describe one product with

different combination of material for different purposes.

To put in other way For one Material We can have sevaral BOM's with variety

of combinations.

Bom Application :

1. Bom Application Defines the different Procedures for Automatic determination

of Alternative Bom.

2. Controls the explosion of Bom in different Areas of the company.

Bom Selection:

In Material Master in MRP 4 View we can define how a BOM is to be selected.

1.Bom selection by order qty

2. Bom selection by Explosion date

3. Bom selection by Production version.

To explode Bom Level By Level Use tcode CS11

You need to Give Plant. Material No, Alternative Bom, Application.

Hi,

BOM usage differentiate the usages on the BOMs in different areas like production, costing or engineering/design and SD.

If you have more than one BOM for the same part the you can create alternates BOMs and keep in the same group.

BOM applications is imp and controls in which business areas you want ei use the BOMs of the different usages like production BOM is allowed in inventory management, costing and planning.

Apart from CS03 you can use CS12, BOM tables like STPO, STKO etc.

Hi

1.To get a list of BOMs for a plant use table STKO , enter in " created in plant "

field the plant under consideration

2.This will give you BOM nos.

3.Then go to table STPO and enter the BOM no.to get the components of that

BOM no.

Hi,

Just go to the BOM explosion transaction CS11.

Us the possible entries "pull down" list and select the search option "Material by Bill of Material".

You can then enter the plant number and get a full list of all BOMs in that Plant. Just select one and execute the CS11 (or CS12) transaction and the BOM will be exploded.

(and the BOM number is the material master record number of the "parent" material in the BOM.)

U can use T : code : CS13 to explode BOM

by plant number and usage and all
