Installing Crystal Reports 2016 on Windows 7 SP1

Asking on behalf of a customer:

"Yesterday I purchased and downloaded Crystal Report 2016. Today I am installing it and it fails on the prerequisites screen – Windows version. It states I need to run Windows 7 SP 1 and my PC has that. I am also running install as a local PC administrator and a when selecting the setup executable, I right click and run as Administrator."

Please advise.

    Hello,

    i've got the same problem!

    "Wrong Windows-Version", but i have installed Win7 SP1.

    Solution is:
I've tried to install CR2016 from my Harddisk "D:\Temp" - this won't work.
After i copied the Installation folders to "C:\Temp" - it works fine!

I think you have the same problem.

    Kind Regards
    Andreas Woerner

I have the same problem, I am using Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 but I am getting error message that I need Windows 7 SP1 and above.

I have tried copied the installation to C:, adding the setup as a trusted app and disabled anti-virus all to no avail.

Prerequisites errors mean something is missing.

Make sure all of the .NET Frameworks are updated and the VC 2005 C++ ATL Security update is installed.

Or you may need to the VS 2015 C++ runtime installed first.
