Replacement of FTP in HCI

Hi Experts,

We are working on SAP HCI & our scenario is IDoc to File which is already live in SAP PI[7.3 Dual stack] . We need to replicate the same scenario in SAP HCI.

1) Which is the best/easy way to replicate the same scenario in SAP HCI?

2) I know that we can import the service interface, message mapping & operation mapping to HCI from PI. We have configured classical scenario in PI, my question is can we import the ID objects that are live in PI to HCI?

3) I think we do not have FTP in HCI, so I hope we are supposed to use SFTP in HCI. Can you please guide me on the steps to be carried out regarding certificates handling where receiver would be SFTP adapter in HCI which is the replacement of File[NFS] receiver adapter in PI & message protocol is FCC.

Thanks,

Ramu.

Hi Ramu,

You will not be able to import configuration scenarios or ICOs into HCI as the HCI flow control is fundamentally different from the PI processing pipeline. HCI does not support FTP but SFTP using either basic authentication (username / password) or SSH-key based authentication. The configuration itself is very similar to any other SFTP client configuration but there are a few quirks that are described in this blog .
