Datamart Transport

I had created a datamart for the SD Billing Cube, to load the data into New Revised SD Billing Cube in development.

Now do i need to transport the datamart of old cube to Quality and Production, or we can create in Quality and Production directly without Transport.

Sunil,

You just need to transport the update rules , the datasource/infopackage/Data Mart infosource and the new cube , no need to retransport the old cube...

u mean Update rules for new cube from 8SD ** datasource must be put into the Transport,(this we are using for historical load)

Is that Infopackage under 8SD** should be transported

we are using other datasource 2lis_13_vditm for current data, must be into transport.

Also once data mart is created and update rules are created, can we load fullupdate for historical load or do we need to Initialize anyhting.

From what I understand :

1. You have a cube ( lets call it cube 1)

2. You have created a new cube ( cube 2)

3. You have created an export datasource on cube1 (DS1)

4. You have created update rules for cube 2 to get data from cube 1 using cube 1 as an input (Update 2)

5. You have also created update rules from the datasource of cube 1 to cube 2 (DS2) (Update 1)

You will need to transport cube 2 , Update 1, Update 2 , DS1, Infosource for DS1 .... when you collect the objects in RSA1 , you will get all the above ... and you can transport the same....

i did the same and thank you very much,

after cube is created and loaded with data , in listcube iam unable to see the data.

then i maintained in RSSM settings for the created cube some authorization for companycode object.

then iam able to view the data.

now the development is moved to quality and i got the same problem again,but now RSSM can not be maintained as it is not open.

how to get this fixed and how i will be able to view the data.

please provide me soem solution for this.

Sunil,

Its better to transport new datamart. Transportation will do better since all the linked objects will be in sync.
