Incorrect email to FF user when FF controller clickon additional info in FF workflow log review

Hi,

When FF controller clicks on "additional information" the FF user receives the following email but with incorrect description. The FF user is not the approver but it says "Dear Approver"

Subject: New Work Item - Log Report Review

Dear Approver,

There are new workitem(s) in your work inbox . Please perform the necessary actions.

Kind regards,
Access Control Administrator

I checked the MSMP rule for the FF log review workflow and i dont see any notification event specific to "Additional information" also i think it is calling the same notification event that it calls for "Forward" action.

Please let me know if FF controller WF considers "addtional information" same as forward and how can i achieve different emails for both actions.

Hello Sri,

Please configure notification on stage where FF Owner approves or asks for more info, for action FORWARD. Recipient should be GRAC_CURRENT_APPROVERS.

You can create Document object and Template if want to customise this E-mail.

Please let me know if it does not solves the issue.

Thanks for your reply, there is already FORWORD notification event with GRAC_CURRENT_APPROVERS. When FF controller clicks on Forward then it is sending notification correctly to other FF controller (GRAC_CURRENT_APPROVERS) with Template ID GRAC_LOGRPT_WORK_ITEM but when FF controller do the "Additional information" action then it should not send the same Template to the Requestor. I will create a new template and add it to RETURN instead of FORWARD action and i will see if it works.

1. Why is the "additional information" action from FF controller shows as FORWARD event where it should trigger "FORWARD" only when forwarding the request to another FF controller and when sending it back to FF user it should trigger a RETURN event instead of FORWARD.

2. how can i achieve this. Add RETURN notification when sending it back to FF user with "Additional information" action. I created a custom template for "RETURN" notification but not working as by default the "Additional information" action is calling "FORWORD" event, how can i change it from FORWARD event to RETURN event for this specific action. Thanks in Advance. Sri.

Hello Sri,

"FORWARD": - when FF controller asks for additional information. Cannot be changed as its predefined by SAP.

When FF user submits the request back to controller, "RETURN" action takes place. So you can configure notification for return action.

I tested this and you are correct. I think SAP should have created a separate notification for additional information. But anyways for now i will go SAP predefined events.
