Configuring Solution Manager with 3rd party systems like Remedy

Hi,

Has anyone configured Solution Manager with 3rd party Call Management Systems?

If so what were the steps followed.

Was it that data was exported from 3rd Party System as a text file and then imported to Solution Manager?

If it was exported as a text file, how were the attachments transferred between the 2 systems.

Is there any document available from SAP with examples (other than ServiceDesk_WebServiceAPI.pdf) on configuring with external (3rd) Party systems?
