SAP HANA SLT

Hi,

Our Client wants to migrate to SAP HANA from current Database. So, my question here is,

1.Do we need to use SLT approach and transfer the data from current Database to SAP HANA.

OR

2. Do we need to replace the Current Database to SAP HANA directly without using SLT.

What is the best approach to be followed?
