Hi,
Any one can explain me the concept of J2ee adapter engines & how it will be used in XI.
Thanks
Koteswara Rao
Dear Koteshwara,
J2EE Based adapter engine has been intoduced with SAP XI 3.0.
The Adapter engine consists of all the adapters except HTTP and IDOC Adapter.
The Adapter Engine is either centrally located or can be away from integration server.
Adapter Engines always transfer requests coming to the Integration Server by using an internal HTTP connection and service user XIAFUSER for execution.
on the other hand outgoing XI messages are always forwarded to the Adapter Engine by using an internal HTTP connection and service user XIISUSER for execution.
So adapter engine always works as bridge between application/business system and XI.
I hope this clears your query. For more help access following link
