ROH comes in barrels/containers. These are taken to stock by GR an dissued to users. when these barrels become empty, we have to disose it by (1)selling as scrap or (2) returning to vendor for refilling.
you receive the ROH in the its base unit, and when it is consumed then it is gone. The packaging is usually not received with the original goods receipt. But when the ROH is consumed then an empty packaging is left. If you want track its inventory and movements and sell or scrap it then you have to have a material number for it. And you do an unplanned receipt with 501 to create stock. And then you can sell it or scrap it or return it like any other normal material.
