Hi Gurus,My client has done a grn as on 6.4.2017,against a PO of 21.04.2017. My question is due to this can GRN be made without the release of PO !!!

How could your vendor know about the PO if it was not released?
SAP is not able to stop a buyer from taking the telephone, a release strategy has to be lived organizational wise too, not only in SAP.
Hi,
GRN cannot be posted without release of PO, but you can use GRN posting date before PO document date. As SAP offers provision for backdate posting.
