Not seeing product recommendations in email

Hello,

I have set up a recommendation model based on the TOPN algorithm.

In the recommendation model preview, I can see the Top 20 sold products.

When I now use this model (it's related scenario) in an email; it doesn't get filled up with actual recommendations. I've used the email in a campaign, not just the "test send".

What could I be missing to get this model to work in an email?

Hi Joyca!

I had the same problem last week. My problem (i guess) was that I didn't had enough interactions in the system to show something as recommendation. When I increased the number of correlating interactions - in your case "products sold" - it was working. I also tried to create a recommendation scenario which is based on the items of interests (there I also had more items of interests maintained). It was working as well.

Maybe that helps a little bit :)

Thanks for your fast reply!

Not enough interactions shouldn't be a problem; we pushed the last 3 months of the sales data from production to development so there should be a lot of interactions.

Also when I'm on my recommendation model itself, and use the "preview recommendations" button, I am getting the Top 20 sold products, so these same results should be picked up by my email?

I am using custom data sources though. Might be something that isn't populated correctly somewhere...
