MDM and SRM-MDM

Hello,

If the client is already running an MDM system to set up the Material Master, do we need to instal SRM-MDM to use MDM as the SRM catalog?

Theoretically this s possible as SRM-MDM has only one JAVA SCA. file additionally to the normal MDM for the search and configuration GUI.

But you have to be sure that the version of the java API which the JAVA GUI of SRM-MDM is using is copatible with your normal installation of MDM.

no SRM works also with other catalogs but the lizenz of SRM-MDM is included in the SRM 5.0 so you save money if you use it. best regards Daniel

Not to hijack this question but we are in a similiar dilema. I'm wondering what are the integration points between SAP SRM and MDM? Does SAP SRM only work with SAP MDM? Thanks!
