Missing Serial Numbers

Morning everyone,

vs: 4.6B

I can not create the Picking from a specific delivery. The delivery has several materials.

Is there any transaction where I can see the Serial Numbers that are missing?

hi barbara,

Your material must be created with S/N profile.The profile control when you should maitain the S/N. You can make the profile in the IMG. In your case S/N is necessary in your your GI posting. So you can select the S/N to the material by the path: extras--->serial number.

by the way, i don't think it is very important whether the picking is WM related.

Is there any transaction where it is possible to see that Serial Numbers that are missing?

<i>obs: I think the Serial Numbers are generated by a Interface. And here there is a ZSER transaction which list Material/ Serial Numbers/ etc</i>

You wont find such transaction where you will get missing serial numbers. But you can c serial numbers assigned to that material in IQ03.

I presume that you are unable tp pick the goods because of the missing serial numbers.

Once u know the correct serial number you can assign that in the deliver doc..extras>>>serial number...

hi barbara,

it is very simple.

if you have assigned serial number profile in material master work scheduling tab of material master then system would give this message at the time of pgi with or without WM .

solution; 1) either remove profile from material master if not required.

2) if required either system has to pick up automatically the serial number for every line item which happens from customising ,spro ,sd -

> or you can manually assign serial number by selecting delinery document go to environment select serial number fill the allowed number and save ,pgi.

when posting GI the system shows the material with missing S/N.

Before I create Good Issue I need to create the Picking. As I said I am not able to create the Picking for this specific delivery.

Hello Roberto,

In order to create the Picking, there is NO NEED to create the TO (transfer order).

I just created a Order with the same Order Type and same material where the Picking was created.
