Dear Experts,
I tried to create a test script using transaction code SCAT for transaction PA20. However, the "Object Manager" in PA20 never capture in the script.
Moreover, we have some inhouse developed screens, those SAPGUI objects cannot be captured in the scripts.
Would you please advise how to capture these objects in the test script ?
THANKS in Advance.
Hi! Prasad,
Sorry! I am not a technical person.
What is "enable scripting" ? Why the script has to be enabled?
Currently, under "options" > "scripting", the settings are :
Installation : Scripting is not installed
User Settings : "Enable Scripting", "Notify when a script attaches to running GUI", "Notify when a script opens a connections" are all ticked, but greyed out.
Would you mind guiding me how to enable the script ? THANKS.

Hi,
¨Scripting is not installed¨ it means u cannot proceed with the SAPGUI recording.
Even i have no knowledge on how to make it happen.
But your BASIS ppl surely can help you out in this issue.
Get in touch vth them and have scripting enabled to start developing the scripts.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Prasad.

Hi,
For recording such screens u need to make the sysem ¨Script Enabled¨.
Then Use TCD or SAPGUI command to record the transation u want.
I think there sudnt be any problem in recording custom transations.
Hope this helps.
cheers,
Prasad Babu.

Hi,
it is much of value for you not to use SCAT but SECATT.
SECATT starts SAPs Testtool eCATT, which has better capabilities for recording transactions. The eCATT capability, you can have a look on, is SAPGUI recording.
Search in SDN for "eCATT" to find some tutorials and stuff.
Best regards
Jens
