JDBC System - connection to SQL Server 2005 failed

Hi,

I am trying to create a JDBC system (not BI JDBC) to connect to <b>SQL Server 2005 </b>in order to use it in an iView so that i can execute stored procedures. I am getting the following error when i perform "Connection Test":

<b> Test Connection with Connector

Test Details:

The test consists of the following steps:

1. Retrieve the default alias of the system

2. Check the connection to the backend application using the connector defined in this system object

Results

Retrieval of default alias successful

Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.</b>

The following are my connection properties:

Connection URL: jdbc:sap:sqlserver://192.168.0.XX:1433; DatabaseName=XXXX_XXX
Driver Class Name: com.sap.portals.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver

I created default alias, user management as "admin.user" and also created mapping alias to a SQL Server login.

I tried running profiler to see what is going on. But no connection to the sql server. So it is failing within the EP.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

RT
