Generally they are used to ignore errors that you are already aware of, but you know that they will not affect your desired results.

An example would be if you know you want to overwrite originals or import tables with non-permitted table classes.

The best thing to do, is import without the codes, and see the results. If you can an error that can be permitted by using a code, check with the transport creator to see if they agree with the intention, and get sign off. Protect yourself from wrong doing.

Then apply the transport with the code to eliminate the error.
