How do I assure that a report is displayed only for the user's sales organization? I see the "access restriction" on the report web browser vie but it is grayed out.
Maybe you can try this, fixed value selection in the reports. Some criteria can be fixed but actually dynamic for example fixed the employees to the current logged on user, fixed to my team. Please see the link above.
There is another option here. You can also assign the report directly to a business role. If your business role is setup correctly with the restrictions based on Org Assignment, then the report will also inherit that from the business role.
