hi gurus ,can u please send me the roles and responsibilities of a sd consultant in support as well as in implementation project .thanks in advance,

Hi Ravi,

Please check this on roles of a functional consultant in End to End implementation :

<b>Support Project :</b>

1. Solving day to day issues which the enduser might come across

2. Working on enhancement issues

3. Working on making improvements in the support project talking with business people mainly the functional owners to have a better coordination to ensure delivery of work.

4. Depending on the requirement making configuration changes, but these are generally very less.

5. Working on a variety of reports which are used by the business. This we do it with the help of abapers.

HI Ravishankar,

As others have mentioned some of the responsibilities in Support & Imple are as follows:

Support:

1. Handle regular tickets

2. Need to develop new output types with the help of ABAPer

3. issues related to pricing / taxes etc

4. Do some config chages based on need ex: create new sales group/sales office/new doc type/ ne wcondition type etc

5. Need to add some routines/requirements based on need

6. to add some anything new you have make a Functional specs.

Implementation:

1. Understand business process

2. conduct demos

3. Write Functional Specs

4. Write BPD's & Crd's

5. Configure as per CRD

6. UNderstand Gaps

7. Write TEst scripts, test cases

8. do unit testing etc

Support have different levels which vary from company to company. If the support team is big, there may be a set of team handling critical issues, another team handling moderate level call, & so on.

In support, client logs a ticket with the details of problem being faced. This information if not sufficient, we will have to ask the same from the client. The process goes on till the issue is resolved & closed.

The roles will be

how u had participated in each phase of the implementation.

how u had solved the gap analysis

what are the configuarations u had done]

what are the customizations u had done

what are the requirements given to abaper

what are the new things u had done in sap and what is the need for them

how do you prepare bpml's

how do you prepare userexits

how do you prepare smartforms

how do you prepare functional spec's

what is cutover strategy

what type of testings u had done

In support

solving the tickets

reporting to the superior

updating the status of tickets

communicating with clinet in some cases

configurations to be done if new requiremnts arise

these will be done in concern with pm and sla

sla's
