hiiii....
i am in need of running scout to find "configuration" differences between our present system (which is a client copy of a different Prod environment) v/s a fresh installed one.
question:
As i dont have a different system which is a fresh install, can i compare (SCOUT) the development client (which is a client copy from a prod) v/s client 000 of the same Development system? can i use SCOUT to compare two clients? If yes, can you pls give me some details? do i need to use two logical components - one for 000 and other for my "client copied" client?
plsssssssssssss advise.
thanks!
Hi mehfil,
were you able to run scout and do comparison between the customizations of the 2 clients in the same dev system...?

Mehfil,
I checked out and found that we can compare 2 clients as well using scout.
Its not really essential to have 2 different component systems to run the scout.
You can run it to compare configurations in your copy client of production system and the 000 client in your dev system.

Hi,
As far as I know you can compare configurations in 2 different landscape components and not within 2 clients on the same logical component.
For ex....SAP MDM and SAP R/3 systems customizing data can be compared especially regarding critical common configs like curencies, customer groups etc.
But i think that to run the scout...the systems should be diff,it cant be in the same system in different clients.
