Problems connecting SCP Identity Authentication to SAP AS Java as a User Store

Hi guys,

I'm trying to connect my SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication to a SAP AS Java as User Store following the guide in this post: https://blogs.sap.com/2015/07/31/connect-your-cloud-applications-with-your-nw-as-java-corporate-user-store/ , but I'm having some problems to complete the task.

I execute the following steps:

1. Configure the HCC to get a channel to the AS, I create the user with the role:

2. Configured the Trust service to a Custom type, and configured the application in the Identity Authentication Administration Console:

3. I generated the OAuth object, 2 of them, one like the Guide with the SCI/PROXY subscription and the other with PORTAL/NWC subscription assuming that I need it to link the Authnetication with the Cloud Launchpad:

4. Then in the Identity Authentication Administration Console - Tenant Settings - Corporate User Store get configured like this:

with

URL: is the url of the SAP Cloud Launchpad

OAuth Token: from the cockpit

Client: test it with bouth created (sci/proxy and portal/nwc)

Secret: the one input in cockpit

5. I configured the destination in the subscription like pointing to the AS for JAVA:

And when I logon with the user, it doesn't work, only if I input users created in the User Management.

I think I'm loosing some step or maybe Guide is not updated comparing to the actual version of the Cockpit.

Any help will be very usefull to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance!

    Dear Andreas,

I am missing some important steps related to Cloud Connector.

Could you please check step 4 and 5 of section Configure SAP Cloud Platform When Connecting to an SAP NW AS Java User Store in the below documentation?

    https://help.sap.com/viewer/6d6d63354d1242d185ab4830fc04feb1/Cloud/en-US/461d71c148594608b9c8b6d016e0a0c5.html

Is there a cloud connector installed and connected to your SAP Cloud Platform?

    Thanks for the information,

    Emoke

    Hi Andreas,

In addition please make sure that the name of the destination is "SAPCloudIdentityUserStore" it is currently configured as "IMT_User_store"

    This should solve the problem.

      Hi Emoke,

already change the name, and still cannot connect to the NW AS Java when execute the SAP Cloud Launchpad.

Here is a question, why the name of the destination could change the configuration of it? in this case, why is not set as default?

      Thanks
