Why do you need to create new pricing procedure when you are in supporting project?

Hi Konda Reddy,

In a supporting project generally we dont create any pricing procedures. Creating priicing procedures is carried out at the time of implementation. Its a whole business process which is involved and moves around the pricing procedure. So, such a huge thing is always part of implementation. But just in case the probability is say if a rollout is being carried out, then for the new country, new pricing conditions are identified and we configure a pricing procedure. Or another possibility is, if a new business is being added to the existing which is having say differenet requirements for the conditions to be carried out, then we create a new pricing procedure but rarely do we find this kind of a situtation. However this is carried out as an enhancement project and does not come under support.

Hi Reddy,

When you are in support project, the pricing procedure is already set.

But,suppose there is change in the market set up and the MRP is based on all india basis then the existing pricing will not work,so in this case you have to go for a new one.

So based on the requirement of the market and as the situation changes we need to go for new pricing procedures.

In Support Project, you may require to work on pricing procedure in some of the situation mention below:

1. Pricing of the client have changes & existing pricing procedure is not able to suppoty the same.

2. With the changes in taxes & introduction of new tax, you will have to add new condition type to pricing procedure.

3. you are working on an enhancement / scenario configuration, which may call for new pricing procedure.

4, As the situation demands.
