Repairable Spare

Can someone tell me what will be the Master Data and Cofig settings that goes with a Repairable Spare from an IM perspective.

You can take any material type as a reparable material.

Material type <b>service</b> can not be use for the repairable spare.

To identify the repairable material, you have to find out any not usable filed.

There is no standard settings. Only through valuation category in accounting view you can identify the repairable material.

For Split valuation valuation category in accounting view is mandatory.

for split valuation ..say if I go with valuation types as good, bad and repaired., where do I actually enter this val type for a material. I mean how do I know which val type the material belongs to

Hi,

If You have PM module, you can configure Refurbishment process for repairable spare.

From MM prospective you have to activate split valuation for material.

You can create Three valuation type like: Repaired, Repairable & new to capture the accounting details.
