In retraction function, what does these Delta Update values mean ?
1 Add Values to Existing Values
0 Update Values Absolute
Please advise.

From the description I would think that
"1 Add Values to Existing Values" would add the latest retraction to the data that is already retracted earlier and
"0 Update Values Absolute" would overwrite the retracted values with the latest retraction.
But would suggest test and check the result.

it should work like Delta Updates:
Add Values = repeat mode, extracting the incorrect data from failed request and new data since the original request
Update Values = delta initialization, resetting delta administration in BI as well as in the source system.
