Dear experts,

In the O2C process , when I sold goods to customer, goods issue and invoice in system has already done, but they want to leave the goods in our storage location. If we just want to manage the quantity of that goods (not value), is there any solution ??

Thanks for your help.

Best Regard.

Hi Tran,

We had a similar requirement in my company. The way we addressed was we created another business residence under the main warehouse to serve as a virtual storage location. You can then activate the product IDs associated with this process and assign them a standard cost of 0.

You would then need to do a manual inventory adjustment to bring the customer owned stock in to the virtual location. This would give you visibility in to what is on-hand that is customer owned but keep it segregated in the system from your regular stock.

The last consideration is whether or not you need to generate any outbound shipment/delivery documentation once it is shipped out from your site. If you do need to generate paperwork you could setup a 0 value sales order and treat like a regular sales order for the process of outbounding. If you are not responsible for the shipment/delivery paperwork, you could consume the stock by doing another inventory adjustment after it has left your site.

Hope this helps

Best Regards,

Hi Tran,

We loaded stock into the virtual location via a manual inventory adjustment since the stock is consumed out of your system through the outbound delivery for the normal sales order.
