How to display and hide fileld in layout without using classess

hi friends,

In my layout by default 2fields are hidden.I need these fields to be displayed on the ALV GRID Display on user wish.

I need this without using Classess concept.

Can u let me know how to hide fields by default and display them when ever user request.
