How to replace MHT extention in the BEx broadcaster email.

Hi,

Due to the threat of viruses, as a policy we strip off all MHT attachments from emails. As a result our user cannot receive MHT attachments.

Has anyone encountered similar issue and what was the solutions?

    Haven't seen anything along these lines. Have seen some recent posts regarding using VB code to rename Excel wkbks that Information Broadcasting distributes, but that doesn't really help your situation.

    I'll be interested to see if what resposnses you get. I imagine if you can find the Broadcaster fnction module that takes care of the attachments, you might be able to apply modifications to it to change the file extension. This seems like it would be a hassle for users to deal with, although I suppse you could updt the registered file types on their machines to recognize the new extension type and open it with their browser.

    Most shops I am aware of that filter attachments, usually only filter them from external emails. Is that an option? Or do you distribute some these emails via the internet?

    Have try to use pdf instead of mht file? What version of BW are you using? Are you trying to broadcast query or workbook?
