LSD for WO created for 2-step picking

Hi All,

We use 2-step wave picking. I have maintained a picking completion time for wave template option. I observed that LSD is blank for WO created for the 1st step of picking (withdrawal step-WPT 2020). However the 2nd WO created for Allocation step (WPT 2010) always copies Picking Completion Time from Wave and hence it has a LSD.

How can we get LSD for 1st Warehouse Order? the Picking completion time is not copied from Wave to 1st Warehouse Task. Any idea/solutions welcome.

Regards,

Shashidhar

Hi,

I would say... there is a gap, and it is probably worth a ticket and asking for a solution.

There is no end date which can be used in this case. And because there is no end date, of course no start date can be calculated.

The problem in general is that the times you can enter in the wave template are ok for a one step process. But how would you translate "pick start" in a two step picking? Which of the two steps it is? There is a pick end time, this is used as the planned completion time for the 2nd step, but where should the end time for the first step come from? so, because none of the times in the wave template is used as basis for the end time, not start time exists.

Yep, as I wrote, probably worth to open a ticket.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Ajit,

My problem is not about understanding how LSD is calculated, its more about why LSD is not determined for 1st set of warehouse tasks during 2-step picking while it works fine for 2nd set of WTs. If LSD is only calculated for allocation Warehouse tasks, I want to understand how LSD can be calculated for withdrawal warehouse tasks in 2-step picking. As per my knowledge, this could be a gap in the solution. Customer doesn't want LSD for allocation step WOs because they are confirmed automatically (non-RF).

Hi Shashidhar,

Can you please check the below config to get Closing Date/Time .

1> SPRO->SCM Extended Warehouse Management->Cross-Process Settings->Warehouse Task->Define Planned Duration of Movements in Warehouse

Also please check the help doc of storage process and mode regarding LSD calculation.

Kind Regards,

Ajit
