changes to give access to SAP to shadow instance

Former Member

Hi,

I need to give SAP access to the shadow instance of an upgrade process. I have just changed the instance number (04) for the "application/DB server" mentioned in Service Market place. They complain that they cannot access the system, however the system is accessible with the proper instance no. (eg:00). Is there any changes that I have to do on the SAP Router to give this access? Kindly advise. Thanks

Hi,

yes, you need to maintain saprouttab file, where your settings about allowed connection are stored.

You need to add following line:

KP <source host> <dest host> <dest serv>

Where:

<source host> - it's the DN of SAP, in my case it is: "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE"

<dest host> - your target host

<dest serv> - port
