CATS Enhancements and ESS

Is it true that the 12 CATS enhancements CATSxxxx do not get triggered when the Time sheet is being entered via ESS (Portal)?

If above is true, are CATS related BADIs the only other option left to influence the processing of timesheets?

What do you mean by 12 CATS enhancements??? I know for a matter of fact that the enhancements work when you enter time from Portal.

Specifically I am interested in using enhancment CATS0006 (Validate Entire Time Sheet).There are certain customer specific checks that are to be performed before the timesheet gets saved. Do you think it gets triggered? Which enhancement have you used?

We are implementing ESS 60.2 (Uses WebDynpro) through Enterprise Portal on SAP ECC 6.0.

We have used CATS0006 and it works just fine..no issues what so ever....

I understand that when ESS is ITS based it could be a different story.

We used the same configuration as yours.

Have you solved your issue? We are facing the same problem.

We are using EP7.0, netweaver 2004s and ECC 6.0. Alle support packages and business packages are up to date. When we use the webdynpro version of CATS, no customer specific checks are done. Also no header information is displayed like name and data entry profiles.
