Dear All,

We have SAP 4.7 ext 200 with Oracle 9.2. I have read that Oracle Data Guard is integrated featre of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition. So do we need license or have to acknowledge SAP customer Department for license of Oracle Data Guard? Or are we authorized to use Oracle Data guard?

secondly tell me is that recommended to implement Oracle Data Guard with SAP for Disaster recovery site.

    Hi,

Oracle Data Guard is integrated featre of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition.

You are Authz to use this feature.

    Have a look on http://www.oracle.com/newsletters/sap/docs/custstory_osram_dataguard_en.pdf

Data Guard You can use "Physical Standby", but SAP Support is not provided.

    You cannot use "Logical Standby".

Hi, the license of the data guard is included in the license of the database Oracle EE.

But is not necessary license the remote oracle database?

In case of normal replication of oracle database yes.

But when is with oracle database with SAP, it's necessary?

      regards
