Reassign ChaRM Document after TR is released using Release Management in SolMan 7.2

Hello Experts,

Is there any option by using which we can reassign ChaRM Documents(where original TRs are released/imported in QA) to other release cycle/phase cycle.

As once we try to perform reassignment of CD from one project to another project, getting below error "You cannot reassign change 8000000315; transport requests cannot be changed"

Release Management looks more promising around flexibility but no luck around this reassignment. Seems its same as it was in SolMan 7.1

Please suggest if there is any way to achieve this.

Hi Piyush,

This is part of Central CTS feature to reassign releated TRs from one project to another in solman 7.1 or 7.2(as of branches cycles etc)

It is possible to achieve this using Central CTS in 7.1 or 7.2 both using the same. Kindly refer Central CTS documentation.

Below is the extract from the standard(SAP) pdf as shared below.

Source - (SAP how to guide below link)

thus, You need to configure central CTS based ChaRM for your branches in 7.2 to achieve the same.

Hope this resolves

Hi Piyush

If CCTS is not configured in 7.1/7.2 (at branch level as Prakhar mentioned ) then Change Project Assignment option will not work if the associated TRs in a Change Documentis/are released. Release Management in 7.2 helps running Major/minor Software Releases in a streamlined fashion.
