Transport of Configuration

hello guys,

I am looking for the following data:

a. Can the Sand box configuration be transported to the Development client? If yes how? Can someone give me the step-wise procedure?

b. I want to have the Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing scenario scripts. In case of Unit Testing if you furnish me with only the T codes will do. Can any one help me?

c. What is the way to give "Display only" access to the users using Sand Box and Development Client. Can some one send me the step wise procedure?

hi gaurav,

1. Yes it is possible to transfer data from sand box to development client. i t depends on the config and set up made by basis team.

3. you can go to su01 and assign roles to individual users. This is usually the role of Basis consultant. So you can ask any of your basis guys to do the same.

In General, request will be created in development & transported to sandbox, where you conduct the initial unit & integration testing. Hence in Most of the cases the flow of Transport request will be as under:

Development --> Sand Box

Development --> Quality Server

Development --> Production Server.

There can be difference in approach based on Basis Configuration.

hi Gaurav P,

a) Sand box configuration is only for training purpose .here u can do the configuration and testing.But u cant transport into other clients/servers.

configuration in dev client ,Development server only transportable bcoz of this , its known as Configuration client too.

b)U have the Test scripts for each scenario.Based on that u need prepare test cases( Unit Testing) , similarly integration testing will be done along with other module consultants.

provide ur id will send by mail,

c)Its basis part to give the authorizations. First u need to create roles(PFCG) and assign the display Tcodes with in roles,in which its assigned to the partner profiles.(SU01)

these profiles again assigned to specific user Id's.When this user access sapscreens as per the tcodes in profile-- roles, he will be able to access those screens only which is assigned for that roles.
