YTD total in column on Periodic model

Hi Experts,

Need you help on below requirement.

I have a requirement to create report and show the totals of months in the column.

if user select month 2017.MAY, the report should display 3 columns i.e., APR.2017,MAY.2017 and Total(JAN to May 2017).

the first two column can be achieved by override functionality, but the total is not showing correctly for 5 months, it is calculating only for current two months.

Note: Model is Periodic type and account types used in report are AST and LEQ.

is there any way I can achieve this scenario with using custom measures, please provide the MDX formula.

AST and LEQ accounts are ytd even in periodic model. And year.total for YTD accounts is the value for DEC.

It's absolutely strange idea to sum month values for YTD accounts! What is the business logic?

If you still need it you have to create custom measure that will not look on the acctype property.

    Hi Reddy,

You can create a dynamic report as below:

    1. Make time dynamic through context member. and give reference of the same into report (with activation of member recognition)

    2. Use member offset for all previous months you want to take into consideration.

    3. Attach a local member at the end having total of all the columns.

    4. Hide the columns with time period which you do not want to display in the report.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Karan
