Dear mallika rao,

For Example if You are tring to creating a PO with ME21N.

based on the PO Type there we need to Give diff kind of data on screens.

If some data is not available we need to put that PO under Hold i.e not to process further.

So that we need to put it for hold.

Hi,

Orders put on hold for so many business reasons.

Open orders will be calculated based on the differenc of the quanitites ordered and the qty's of delivered goods.

Say for example Sales order qty is 50 and the delivery qty is 40, means still 10 have to be delivered, so that's a Open order.difference of fields

(VBAP-KWMENG) -(LIPS_LFIMG)

Similary in the case of a PO, if the PO qty is 30 and the GR qty is 20, that PO is open. So the difference of fields EKPO-MENGE and MSEG-ERFMG.

hope you understood.

regards,

Anji
