Infocube Load Error

Hi All,

Could anyone please help me with the following error while loading data into the cube.

Loading from csv file.

Cube Field1: char - 12 trying to insert data ( value 'E-Mail')

Data was loaded into the PSA correctly and errors generated while loading the cube.. error text:-

Value 'E-Mail ' (hex. '45002D004D00610069006C00 ') of characteristic U_TYPE contains invalid characters BRAIN 60 @35@ @3R@

All the recds which contain value E-Mail wont get inserted..

Hi,

This error may come the following perspectives generally:

1. Your info object will not support lowecase letter. For that in the change mode of info object, you can enable the lower caes of the info object.

2. May be some special characters. Find out the special characters and put that characters in the permitted extra characters (TCode : RSKC)

Please let me the status of the problem.

Hi Vevek,

thanks for your reply. I tried doing as mentioned..but sill i get the same errror..

I checked the permitted special characteristics and E-Mail... which is '-' is permitted in the list..Cant get a clue..I turned the lcase option too..but no use.

Hi Vivek,

thanks for the help. I got it by changing the lower case option.

I guess because I am working on Bw 2004S version all looks new to me as compared to 3.5.

Hi,

If you observe carefully, it seems there is a blank after the letter "l" in the word 'E-Mail '.

Actully it is not identied by BIW system ,even though there is some other charcterstic at that place. So remove this Blank from PSA record and then reupload it.

Hi Anil,

I got the load to work by selecting the option for lowercase characters..

The values I got is mix case..but dont know why it would work with lowercase option?

YES. You will continue to get this errror. Because your file still has characters that are not recognised by the BW system. Go thru one by one and all the characters into BW and then reload data. Also, note that, the system will not take note of the pattern of E-mail. - recognised as sa individual character. DOnt expect the system to read E-mail as one character. You need to look at the file and eliminate such strings and patterns.
