how to create Delta DTP

currently i am working in SAP BI 7.0

i am loading data from PSA to target by using DTP.. first time i loaded data by using full Upload... now i want to load delta data... can u please tell me.

i want to only changed records in my target... i don't want old records... plz tell me.

Hi prasad,

see, the general way of setting up the delta is,

1. you have to run the init. full upload to your target IC

2. If you are using the std. DS or delta machanism designed Custom DS

then you need not to worry abt. the delta..

3. Once you execute your Init. Full upload..(sucessfully) then, system automatically sets your info package 'Load setting' as 'Delta'..(Check in your package).

I think no Initialization concept is available in 7.0... i am using customized infocube..

only full and delta options are available...

Hi,

Are you using a STD. DS of R/3 or Generic DS..

if it is Std. then..when ever you do full upload then it becomes the 'Init upload'

from then onwards, your system would fetch only delta data..you need not to

do any setting..(To confirm)..

Go to your R/3 -->RSA7 and see whether you have your DS available in the delta

queue..if it is there then ..when ever you execute your info package either

by manul/in process chain it would fetch only delta records..

If it is a generic DS .. then let me know further details of your DS and other settings.

if ur DS is delta enabled, then ur DTP should always be delta, that way the DTP would pick only delta records.
