    Hi,

    We have two options

-- one is File transfer method through which we can export the objects into a file and that can be imported in another.

here we can export individual obeject and SWCv wise, namespace wise also.

    -- Another one is CMS

through this option tracks are to be defined from DEV-QA-PROD

    see the below links

    Hi Julio,

Transportation takes place in both repository and directory. The basic flow is like

    Development System --> Acceptance(QA) System --> Production System(Live)

    SLD :

In SLD you have to create transport targets in Business Systems.

e.g. in Development System the Transport target will be Acceptance system.

and in acceptance it will be Production system.

This transport target means that the transport object will be automatically renamed according to system specifications.

    Repository :

Software Components are getting transported from Repository to Repository. They are tpz files.

You have to do this transport manually. You need to export the components manually they will be transfered to operating systems export directory from where you need to copy them to import directory of target system using operating system command. Then final step will be import transported components andactivate them.

    In Directory :

In directory all objects are getting transported as like repository only you need to modify communication channel setting and activate the objects.

This is enough to transporting any repository and directory object.

I hope this information will help you.

    Regards,

    Shri
