How to count list of values in dimension in Analysis Office for excel

Basically My question is how can I make calluclations like cont of list of values on Dimension in Analysis Office, Please help.

have you found the solution? I can't figure out how to add count for specific list of values

Expected result as below. I tried CountA(...) but it doesn't work.. I am wondering what is the benefit of the "Add Line" feature.

Have you tried doing this type of aggregation (count) in BEx query designer?

You can also add an Advanced Calculation column with formula NODIM(1) and you'll get a counter for each row. Only works if you want the count of values for the lowest level of detail. Otherwise, put a counter in your BEx query with exception aggregation to count whatever DIM you care about...

Hi Rajiv - I am not following this

If you are on a later version of Analysis Office, you can use Excel formulas to do this, e.g. = COUNT(...)

Perhaps you can share screen shots?

I am in AO 2.3, But am facing difficulty on how can I count Business Area as seen in snap. Please help.
