PO release strategy

All,

I have configured release procedure for PO .

But release is not coming .

What may be the reason ?

I have created and deleted release groups . release codes , release strategies many times , will this makes any effect ?

Kindly advise.

Hello Sandeep,

Check all the characteristic value are maintained properly. also check you are using the same criteria to trigger the release procedure. i.e. if you have defined NB document type as one of the characteristic value then only PO with NB doc type only will follow the release process, no other doc type will trigger release process.

Execute Txn OMGSCK (check release procedure) and see if you find any inconsistencies.

Hi ,

Did you checked that in SPRO PO release procedure conf part in Release strategy , select ur release strategy , go to classification button . You have not maintained all the characteristics properly there ?

Other way is you can go by the way Ramki has said .

Ramki,

OMGSCK is full green , no inconsistencies.

I have checked everything , everthing is proper.

I have only one release code per release strategy .

I had a release procedure in place earlier and used to work properly , now the business strategies changed , so deleted everything and created new strategies , any problem will there due to this ?

I vaguely remember about classification statistics...

I think you need to do this. Run CLST Txn.

Really thankful to all for the keenness to help.

My problem is solved .

Mistakenly I had activated user exit 'M06E0004' .

This was the reason Release was not triggering.

Now release is working properly .

check whether the characteristics & values are properly defined. Check whether the release groups and release indicators are rightly entered and checked in release strategy
