Summation using OffSet

Hi Friends,

I know you guys would help me out in this. i am pretty new to SAP and need some help on one of the report I am working on.I need to create a formula that sum the next 30 days values.

For example: sum of Distribution Demand for the next 30 days.

What's the best way to get this? Should we write a customer exit or the offset would work easily.

Thanks.

Hi Anil,

That offset thing didn't work out. Actually, I should give you a brief background. We have created a remote cube to access some of our APO data, it's a daily cube with live data. The values are ona daily basis

Exmaple:

3/1/2007 900 EA

3/2/2007 0 EA

3/3/2007 100 EA...

So if I run the report on 1st March, the result of 30 Days Distribution column would be sum of each row for 30 days from 1st March.

I hope this would give you guys better understanding of what am I trying to achive.

Thanks.

BW,

Which means you should show all the columns of next 30 days and then sumup then in another column right? If what I understood is right, you can go for a customer exit variable on calday. Put the calday in columns and restrict with customer exit variable which will populate next 30 days dates. Under that you can create a structure (for key figures) and restrict with respective key figure.

Else let me know the design of your report so that I can insert the solution at right place.

Thanks Venkat. I think I am not explaining properly what I need. The data is saved in the cube on daily basis as it's a remote cube to bring APO data in. In my report I just need to show 2 columns (for example) one is material number and the next column is sum of 30 days distribution only.

Let suppose the data is in the cube looks like, I am putting 2 days data only, the rest of the dates have 0 distribution

MAT DAT DISTR

001 3/1/07 100 EA

001 3/2/07 200 EA

002 3/2/07 800 EA

The report should look like on 1st Mar, 2007

MAT 30DAYSDISTR

001 200 EA

002 800 EA

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks.

Hi,

Take Distribution Demand Kf into Columns.Double click on it snd then drag annd drop 0CALDAY into right hand side of the screen. And restrict 0calday with a SAP Exit varible which gives current date. And then use offsets like (0,-30) on that varible.
