Substitution works intermittently.

We have created a substitution for any line items which post to certain GL accounts.

The assignment field gets substituted with YYMM of the document date.

This Substitution works intermittently and it is not possible to zero down the scenario in which it does not work.

SAP is not able to help as scenario is not replicable. What is the best possible way to handle such a issue?

Simply find a document which didn't have the deisred (and expected) result and enter it again. If the ssame behaviouw occurs you have your testcase.

Hi,

There is always an explanation... try and see what distinguishes the documents for which your substitution allegedly doesn't work.

Also, post here the substitution rules screens. Maybe, something is wrong in the pre-requisites.
