Hi Guys,
I have a list of Characteristics that should be display attributes, I'm adding them in the query design. For the initial workbook, we may want to hide them in the local view and then let the user chose the ones they would want.
Please explain me the steps to hide in the local view.
Thanks in advance!
You could look at having them in the free characteristics and then the user may choose to add what h/she wants...

Hope it helps...

When you are in the Local view go into the Query Designer and hide the characteristics you don't want and then save it, this will then be available for users to edit (as long as they have access) - but this is high maintenance for your support, as if the main query ever changes in the future you will have to go and change the views accordingly.
Easier way is have the characteristics as free characteristics in your query and then the users decide if they want more information in the report.
