Master data Text Table

HI All,

I did load Master text data, with short,medium, and long from a .csv file. It loads only short description. I checked all 3 descriptions, mapped correctly.

Please let me know the reason and your view . Thanks in advance.

Hi Teja,

Thanks to you.

But I created object with short text only at first, then loaded data.

After that I selected Medium , long , language and text dependent. Those are mapped properly. Loaded again, next when I see " Maintain master data" it shows Language, Short only. What about medium, long , date from , date to?

Please advise.

Hi,

Try checking the transfer structure for your info object. Moreover, create your file according to the structure in transfer structure. These type of issues arises due to some objects being inactive or the format of source data is incorrect.

Hi,

Are you taking about the Description shown by system when clcik on F4 in the Maintain Master data option avialable in the context menu of Infoobject,Then I can say, System shows the short or medium or long or all according to the setting done at Value Help.

or

If you are taking about the Description shown by system by executing F8 button in Maintain Master data option avialable in the context menu of Infoobject,Then I can say, you can get all types description by changing Layout in that screen.

If you want to Check whether it was uploaded or not , then check the Text table but not from any option of context menu.

Hi

Your info object might be created with the check box 'short text exists'

If you want to load short,medium and long..you need to create your info object accordingly..

double click on your info object> master data/texts tab>check all 3 check boxes
