SRM5.0 Not possible to list replicated product categories in SRM

Former Member
0 Kudos

Hi

We are running SRM50, classic scenario

I has replicated the product hierarchy from backend and I can see that this is replicated correct to R3MATCLASS. I can see all in COMM_HIERARCHY.

When I try to list the hierarchy in PPOMA_BBP, attribute BBPS_ATTR_PRCAT (I have selected my backend system) or in my shopping cart i get the message "No values found".

I have tried to log on in different languages (english and german), but this has no effect.

Do anyone have an idea to my problem.

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Jesper Lander

<u>Check in table- COMM_PRODUCT (those categories are existing )

Refer Transaction - COMMPR01.</u>

Hope this will help.

Hi Atul

You are very quick to answer, thanks

I have checked that all my categories are replicated. The categories which exist in my backend, exist in COMM_HIERARCHY (Hierarchy-ID R3MATCLASS) as well, but it isn't possible to list these in PPOMA_BBP or in the shopping cart.

Hi again

In table COMM_PRODUCT the categories don't exist !!

If i run transaction - COMMPR01 and list the categories from here I can see all, but why is it possible to list the categories from here and not from PPOMA_BBP or shoppiing cart??

Hi

<u>It seems to me that, some basic configuration settings in your SRM system are missing. Which SRM version are you using ?

Refer to the links and cross-check you settings in your system.</u>

Hi,

Please check :

1- that your R3MATCLASS is attached to purchasing application in comm_prapplcat

2- that your prcat are linked to the correct backend system in the extended attribute inherited by your user.

Kind regards,

Yann

Hi

We are running SRM5.5 SP SAPKIBKT07.

I have checked all attributes and they are all linked to the correct backend system. In COMM_PRAPPLCAT R3MATCLASS is linked to Purchasing.

If I run a check on my organizational level everything is OK but if i run BBP_CHECK_CONSISTENCY, select my user and check my userattributes to shopping cart I get an error on attribute PRCAT

Hi Jesper

How do you say that it's replicated correctly to R3MATCLASS in Comm_hierarchy ?

Did you create the roor hierarchy or did system create automatically ?

If the replication is successful - you will see a node like R3MATCLASSxxxCLNT098 etc..based on your backend logical system.

Can you pl check the following ?

1) Check R3AM1. Do you see anything there ? Green traffic lights ?

2) Do you have any queues in SMQ1 in R/3 and SMQ2 in SRM ?

3) Check in SMW01, if you have any bdocs in error

Hi Ramki

The system created the hierarchy automatically and my kategory-ID says R3MATCLASSKAUCLNT220 which is my correct backend system.

Can you pl check the following ?

1) Check R3AM1. Do you see anything there ? Green traffic lights ?

DNL_CUST_BASIS3; DNL_CUST_PROD0; DNL_CUST_PROD1 are all green

2) Do you have any queues in SMQ1 in R/3 and SMQ2 in SRM ?

No queues in R/3 or SRM

3) Check in SMW01, if you have any bdocs in error

No BDocs in error

Hi

<b>What's the error with the user with user consistency? Please paste the same.</b>

<u>For the time being, assign Standard roles to the Employee with SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles. Then again try it, incase it's working, then problem is with the Z roles created using PFCG standard transaction.</u>

Hope this will help.

Hi Atul

I had the same suspicion.

I have tried to assign SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles to the user, both with and without the SAP standard roles. This hasn't any effect

Hi,

Are you connected in SRM with the same language as the PRCAT description ?

Kind regards,

Yann

Yes I see all categories in table COMM_CATEGORY

I will now create an OSS to see if SAP can solve this.

Thanks for all your answers and good ideas

I will remember to update this message when I get the solution on this problem.

Hi

<b>You earlier told - "If I run a check on my organizational level everything is OK but if i run BBP_CHECK_CONSISTENCY, select my user and check my userattributes to shopping cart I get an error on attribute PRCAT "

What's the error with the user with user consistency? Please paste the same here.

Click on the long text (? Icon), It will tell you the error message and details, how to solve it.

Ensure that your user ID is having the standard roles of Employee attached.

In transaction OOATTRCUST (Customizing General Attribute Maint.), see whether PRCAT attribute has Inheritance type (Normal inheritance - Additiive) </b>

<u>Meanwhile, refer to following OSS notes as well.</u>

Note 110909 - Composite SAP note on generic attributes

Note 637859 - EBP 3.5/4.0: Material group attribts not maintainable in Web

Note 672612 - Default product category is not inherited

Note 798601 - Restriction of product categories missing in purchase order

Note 922206 - Product category: Buffering with 'own favorites'

Note 1003269 - Deativated Prod.Categories are available for user 'Settings'

Let me know what is the results of the SAP OSS message as

well.

Hope this will help.

Hi Atul

The text says:

Application "Shopping Cart": Define the attribute PRCAT

Message no. BBP_ATTR_CHECK107

Diagnosis

User MA_JLA may run EBP application Shopping Cart. However, attribute PRCAT is not defined for the position S 50000029 assigned to him.

This attribute defines the product category that user MA_JLA may order from in Shopping Cart.

System Response

User MA_JLA (position S 50000029) cannot run EBP application Shopping Cart without encountering errors.

Procedure

Start Transaction PPOMA_BBP and select the Extended Attributes tab. Select Product categories. Then, for position S 50000029 (or a higher-level department) of user MA_JLA, enter the abbreviation for the product category and the corresponding source system (the system from which the product category was replicated). To define entire areas of product categories, you can use wildcards in the product category abbreviation, or you can specify the appropriate interval directly.

Example of specification of a product category:

001* in the source system ABCCLNT123.

I have "maintained" the category on the attribute PRCAT. With this I mean, I have typed in both a single value and a valuerange manually (without F4) because of my missing values. The control of the attributes give me a green light.

The user have the role SAP_EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE assigned and SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.

In transaction OOATTRCUST attribute PRCAT has Normal inheritance - Additive

I will look through the OSS messages to see if one can solve my problem.

Once again thanks for your help.

Hi

Now try consistency check for the main root node of the Org unit in PPOMA_BBP transaction. Is there any errors appearing ?

Try maintaining attributes, incase there exists any issues.

Now try to do shop witht the user. In web page, is the Product category appearing ?

Do let me know.

Hi Atul

I have done a consistency check for the main root and everything is OK - green light.

I have tried to maintain the attributes on the main root and moved these to the buyer level. This has no effect - the buyer can still not list the product categories.

Hi

What all roles and profiles are assigned to this user (buyer) ? Have you attached custom 'Z' roles in the SU01 Transaction to this user ? Please list them here.

Ensure that the Standard SAP Employee roles are attached: -

SAP_EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE

SAP_BBP_STAL_EMPLOYEE

Hope this will help.

SAP_BBP_STAL_EMPLOYEE

SAP_EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE

SAP_EC_BBP_MANAGER
